Brandsplat Report on Coca Cola's Twitter AdsEnzo: This is Enzo Cesario with another edition on the Brandsplat video report. How are you doing Ben?Ben: I'm doing well.Enzo: Alright, doing great, a lot madness happening this week.Ben: World Cup.Enzo: Longest to Wimbledon, World Cup, Twitter problems, iPhone 4 problems. Youre seeing this? This just came out today in the New York Times, something is going on. Something mysterious is happening with the way you hold the phone could interfere with calls.Ben: You should never hold the phone.Enzo: You shouldnt – you shouldnt ever hold it. Phone werent meant to be held. This isnt the phone though. This is something different, right? Wow. Anyway, I also want to talk about – yeah, World Cup action and Coca-Cola got into the action. They were one of the first second brand like actually to use a trending topic which was the World Cup to have promoted tweets, and they said they saw phenomenal results. 86 million impressions – Ben: On the new Twitter platform?Enzo: --or views on the new Twitter platform, with this new ad platform. And theyve got a 6% engagement rate which – if you compare that to the average engagement rate for like an ad online, which is 0.02, huge. Probably because its a new novelty thing and people are clicking on it, thats what I'm guessing. But also because Coke is cool and I like Coke, and I like Coca-Cola. Also, OK GO. If you havent seen it, coolest videos there, really cool videos. This one is especially—theyre on Echo Park, close to us here the Brandsplat Studios. Actually, if you check this video, theres little goose that runs around that actually link to its Facebook page, yes the goose has a Facebook page. But one importantly, they also have whats – they have a promo going on, its called the, “My friends are cooler then your friends contest”. And you can see it either on their YouTube page or on your Facebook page. Basically what they want to do is embed or download their video – their new video. Anything get your friends a comment on it many times, you can win an iPod.Ben: I want an iPod.Enzo: Not bad, not bad. I think its pretty smart. I think its smart the way they do things. Again, this is just the band and theyre getting on the bandwagon, and doing cool stuff on the web. You can do the same thing. What stopping you, the goose? This is Enzo Cesario. See you next time.
